ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK
I, the undersigned participant, acknowledge that participation in a fishing rodeo and related activities (including but not limited to boating, fishing, casting, docking, and shoreline activities) involves inherent risks. These risks include, but are not limited to: Drowning or water-related injuries, Slips, falls, and physical injuries, Exposure to weather conditions (heat, cold, storms),
Boating accidents, Equipment failure or misuse, Encounters with wildlife. I fully understand and voluntarily accept all risks associated with participation.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
In consideration for being allowed to participate in this event, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue: SAE New Orleans Alumni Chapter, its officers, directors, members, sponsors, volunteers, and affiliates (collectively referred to as “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to: Personal injury,
Property damage, Loss or theft, Death whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted under Louisiana law.
INDEMNIFICATION
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any loss, liability, damage, or costs (including attorney’s fees) arising from my participation in the event.
MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION
I certify that I am physically capable of participating in this event. In the event of injury or emergency, I authorize event organizers to obtain medical treatment on my behalf if necessary. I understand that I am responsible for any medical expenses incurred.
COMPLIANCE WITH RULES AND LAWS
I agree to: Follow all event rules and instructions, Comply with all Louisiana boating and fishing laws, Maintain any required licenses or permits, Operate boats and equipment safely and responsibly, Failure to comply may result in removal from the event without refund.
ALCOHOL & CONDUCT POLICY
I understand that alcohol consumption, if permitted, is at my own risk. I agree not to operate any vessel under the influence and to act responsibly at all times.
MEDIA RELEASE
I grant permission to event organizers to use my name, likeness, photographs, and video recordings taken during the event for promotional purposes without compensation.
MINORS
If the participant is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must sign below. The parent/guardian agrees to all terms of this waiver on behalf of the minor.
GOVERNING LAWS
This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana.
SEVERABILITY
If any portion of this agreement is found to be invalid, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.
